So with the SaaStr Annual behind us, I had a chance to take a fresh read of our new book with Aaron Ross, From Impossible to Inevitable.

We’d been working on it for 18 mos. and I guess I’d read it all, but until the Annual was behind us, I didn’t have the clarity of mind to give it a fresh read until just this weekend.

And.

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 12.30.12 PMIt’s pretty darn good.  Aaron’s first book, Predictable Revenue, exposed outbound sales to an entire new world.  This one goes much broader, and further.  It’s at least a partial playbook for growing a sales-driven business from Nothing to Something.

About 30% of the content is updated SaaStr content; plus new case studies; plus new content from Aaron.

I think you should read it IF:

  • You want to start your own SaaS company.  You will learn how they actually work as a founder/CEO.
  • You’ve started a SaaS company and are just getting your first customers.  This will teach you how to get more.
  • You’re in the zone of $500k-$1.5m ARR or so.  You’ll learn how to double down on what’s working and where to expand.  And where not to.
  • You’ve got something, and are up to about $3m-$4m ARR.  Some of what’s in it you’ll know already, but at least it will challenge you to go harder and further.

Beyond that stage, you probably don’t need it.

So far, we’ve sold 5,689 copies since the Annual.  I think SaaStr makes about $0.11 per copy in royalties, after paying back expenses, so it’s not much of a for-profit endeavor.  But get a copy, at least on your Kindle for $11.99.  It’s worth it.
