These are the AI tools that help our tiny SaaStr team just hum.
We’re not a massive organization with unlimited resources. We’re a tiny team that needs to punch above our weight every single day. These tools make that possible.
50% of SaaStr already runs on AI. Our goal? 80%.
Because every minute we save on operational tasks is a minute we can spend creating better content, building stronger community connections, investing in better start-ups, and delivering more value to the B2B world.
These tools aren’t just shiny objects — they’re the foundation of how a small team creates outsized impact. Each one has earned its place by making us more efficient, more effective, or both.
The AI revolution isn’t coming. It’s here. And the teams that embrace it now are the ones that will dominate their categories tomorrow.
1. Recall AI: Our YouTube Video Summarization Game-Changer
Look, we produce a TON of content at SaaStr. Sessions, interviews, deep dives — you name it. And honestly? Keeping track of all the golden nuggets buried in hours of video was becoming a nightmare.
Enter Recall AI.
This thing is a lifesaver. We feed it our YouTube videos and SaaStr sessions, and it spits out crisp, actionable summaries that actually capture the key insights. No more scrolling through 45-minute videos to find that one Jason Lemkin quote about ARR growth.
The best part? It doesn’t just summarize — it pulls out the quotable moments, the tactical advice, and the real takeaways that our audience actually cares about.
Bottom line: If you’re drowning in video content like we were, Recall AI will throw you a lifeline. Game changer for content teams.
2. Descript: Video Editing That Doesn’t Suck
Real talk: Video editing used to be our bottleneck. Traditional editing software? Clunky. Time-consuming. Expensive.
Descript changed everything.
You literally edit video like you’re editing a Google Doc. Need to cut out an “um”? Just delete it from the transcript. Want to rearrange sections? Copy and paste. It’s that simple.
For our SaaStr content pipeline, this has been huge. We can take raw session footage and turn it into polished, shareable content in a fraction of the time. The AI voice cloning for quick fixes? Pretty awesome
The kicker: Our video team went from dreading editing sessions to actually enjoying the process. When your tools don’t fight you, creativity flows.
Still, some of the newer AI features like avatars are unpolished.

3. Higgsfield: Short-Form Video Magic
Short-form video is everything right now. But creating scroll-stopping content that doesn’t look like garbage? That’s the challenge.
Higgsfield solved this for us.
We use it to create those eye-catching short videos that actually get engagement. The AI understands what makes content pop on social — the pacing, the visuals, the hooks that make people stop scrolling.
It’s not just about making pretty videos. It’s about making videos that convert browsers into viewers, and viewers into community members.
The reality: In a world where attention spans are measured in seconds, Higgsfield helps us win those precious first few moments.

4. Claude: Our Research Powerhouse
When we’re writing deep-dive articles for the SaaStr community, surface-level research doesn’t cut it. Our audience is sophisticated — they want real insights, backed by real data.
That’s where Claude comes in.
This isn’t your typical AI assistant. We use Claude to dive deep into complex topics, analyze data patterns, and uncover insights that would take our team hours to research manually. Whether it’s SaaS metrics trends, market analysis, or competitive intelligence, Claude helps us go beyond the obvious.
The research quality? Consistently impressive. It’s like having a senior analyst who never gets tired and always asks the right follow-up questions.
Truth bomb: Good content requires good research. Claude makes sure we’re never publishing fluff.
5. Opus Pro: Social Media Clips Made Easy
Every SaaStr session has multiple golden moments worth sharing. But manually creating dozens of social media clips? That’s a productivity killer.
Opus Pro automated this entire process for us.
It takes our long-form content and intelligently identifies the most shareable moments. Then it creates perfectly formatted clips for each platform — LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, you name it. The AI actually understands what makes a good social clip: strong hooks, clear value props, and natural ending points.
Our social engagement has gone through the roof since we started using it.
The math: One 60-minute session now generates 15-20 high-quality social clips. That’s content multiplication at its finest.
(note: SaaStr Fund / ARR Ventures is a small investor in Opus)

6. Delphi: Powering 40,000+ SaaStr AI Conversations
This one’s close to our hearts because it’s literally powering our SaaStr AI chat.
40,000 conversations and counting.
Delphi lets us create an AI version of our collective SaaStr knowledge — every article, every session, every insight we’ve shared over the years. When someone asks our AI about ARR optimization or retention strategies, they’re getting answers grounded in real SaaStr expertise.
The conversation quality is genuinely impressive. People are having meaningful exchanges about complex B2B topics, reviewing 100s of VC pitches and board decks, getting personalized sales advice, and finding exactly what they need from our decade of GTM learnings and speakers.
The impact: We’re scaling SaaStr expertise 100x beyond what any human team could handle. And the feedback has been incredible.
But, it’s interesting 2 other tools on this list are adding somewhat similar functionality. How that plays out is TBD.
7. SaaStr AI: Our Secret Weapon for Event Curation
Here’s one we built ourselves — our SaaStr AI reviews every piece of event content and every potential speaker.
Think of it as our quality control system on steroids.
Before any session makes it to a SaaStr event, our AI analyzes the content for relevance, actionability, and alignment with our community’s needs. It flags potential issues, suggests improvements, and helps us maintain the content quality our audience expects.
For speaker selection, it reviews backgrounds, expertise areas, and speaking history to ensure we’re bringing the absolute best to our stage.
The result: Higher quality events, better speaker-audience fit, and content that consistently delivers value.
8. Gamma: Sponsor Collateral That Actually Impresses
Creating sponsor materials used to be a nightmare. Hours in Google Slides, struggling with charts that looked like they were designed in 2005, and presentations that somehow managed to make our impressive data look boring. We often needed our designer to help with templates.
Gamma changed everything.
We use it for all our sponsor collateral now, and the difference is night and day. This isn’t just another presentation tool — it’s like having a design team that understands data visualization.
The dynamic charts it creates from our SaaStr data? Strong — and automated. The analyses it generates? Actually insightful. Our sponsors go from politely nodding through presentations to genuinely engaging with the insights we’re sharing.
But here’s what really sold us: Gamma doesn’t just make things look pretty. It helps tell the story that’s hidden in our data. Attendance trends, engagement metrics, community growth — it turns spreadsheets into compelling narratives that sponsors can actually act on.
The reality: When your sponsor materials look this good, conversations shift from “here are our numbers” to “here’s how we can drive real results together.”
9. Reve Art: Visuals That Actually Stand Out
Most AI driven graphics look exactly the same — and often, a bit … “off”. Fun, but with that AI look. And weird artifacts and spelling.
Reve Art broke us out of that trap.
We used it for all updated graphics at SaaStr Annual and our AI Summit, plus ongoing content creation. It doesn’t just generate pretty pictures — it creates visuals that capture the energy and personality of what we’re building while maintaining brand consistency.
The difference: Our events and content don’t look like everyone else’s anymore. In a world drowning in visual noise, standing out matters.
Bonus: We’re Using 2 Sales AI Tools Right Now That Are Great. More to Come.
What We Are On The Hunt For
A lot, but especially:
- A completely AI-focused marketing automation tool. HubSpot + Marketo, but truly AI native. Can segment our lists, build out our campaigns, and manage them dynamically via AI. Everyone needs this. Cursor for Marketing Automation.
- A video AI tool that can take clips and turn them into a great story. A niche use case, but AI hype videos we need.
- An AI AE. We’re ready to deploy one. There are some tools here already, but we’re working to find one that works for our specific use cases. We have 2. Running an experiment here right now.
- Something that makes WordPress more AI and modern. SaaStr.com runs on WordPress, but now is feels very creaky in the Age of AI. We’re not leaving. But would love to bring this platform into the AI age.
What we’re starting to do:
- Vibe coding on Loveable. For us, the easiest tool to work on to add code to our WordPress.
- Vibe coding on Claude / Claude Code. Not as useful for us as Loveable because it doesn’t “finish” the task all the time, but also goes deeper. Solved several issues we’ve waited years for a WP dev to solve. In 20 minutes. (Why 20? Took iterations).
- Vibe coding on Replit — but nothing into production yet. Replit is perhaps our favorite tool in that it’s so easy to put a full app into production. But right now, we need to fix code, not put new apps into production. We’ll see though!
A Tough Question: Would we switch from any of these?
Honestly? Yes. We love them all. But if something truly, instantly much better comes along — we’ll try those too. The productivity gains in AI are just too great to not be open to … even greater productivity gains.
It’s still early in the wild west of AI. What’s amazing today might be table stakes tomorrow. We’re in love with these tools, but we’re not married to any of them. We’re married to getting better results for our community.
The moment something delivers significantly more value, saves more time, or creates better outcomes? We’ll test it. Because staying loyal to tools instead of staying loyal to results is how you get left behind.
We’re still in the stage of AI where we’re trying one new tool a week.
The Bottom Line
These tools aren’t just shiny objects — they’re solving real problems in our content and community operations. Each one has earned its place in our daily workflow by making us more efficient, more effective, or both.
The AI revolution isn’t coming. It’s here. And the teams that embrace it now are the ones that will dominate their categories tomorrow.
