So what’s the SaaStr community catching up on, on YouTube, this week?
Let’s take a look what’s trending there:
#1. “From Freemium to Explosive Growth in a Crowded Market – 8 Years of Learnings with CEO of Zoom”. This SaaStr classic is a great one to catch up, right around when Zoom finally had really pulled ahead of the pack … but before the Covid Boost changed everything. Back when it was a normal unicorn 🙂
#2. “How To Collaborate, Manage & Work With Developers With Jeff Lawson, CEO Twilio”. A great deep dive on what makes for a truly great dev team.
#3. “How To Raise Your Next Round- What Does it Take to Really Raise Capital with Point Nine Capital”. Christoph Janz updates his annual “funding napkin” on how VC looks in SaaS in 2021. A great real-time take from one of the top SaaS seed investors.
#4. “How to Do ABM Campaigns (For Real) in 2021 with Snowflake”. This session was great, and in fact we sort of ran out of time, so we’ll do a v2 at a future SaaStr event this year!
#5. “Dharmesh Shah of HubSpot – From Day 0 to IPO: What Went to Plan, What Most Certainly Didn’t”. Hubspot announced it crossed 10,000 customers and $1B in ARR this year. A look back at the earlier days.
#6. “The Things Nobody Tells You About An $8B Acquisition with Ryan Smith from Qualtrics”. This SaaStr Classic from ’19 Annual is a favorite, but also is eerily dated in terms of price. Since then, Qualtrics IPO’d and now is worth $23 Billion! Take a look back at the decision process behind selling for $8B the first time.
#7. “7 Common Enterprise Marketing Mistakes from Google’s Head of Global Marketing”. A great deep dive on what marketing really means in bigger deals.
#8. “David Sacks (Yammer) & Stewart Butterfield (Slack): Unicorns or Bust”. Oh boy, this is a classic from the first SaaStr Annual. Take a look back at Slack when it was just taking off, had no sales reps, and how it contrasted to Yammer.
#9. “Fireside Chat: Jyoti Bansal, harness.io & Dev Ittycheria, MongoDB”. A great chat between two iconic Unicorn CEOs. Jyoti will be back at SaaStrBuild.com Mar 9-10 so join us there!
#10. “The Current State of SaaS Companies, Subscriptions and Retention with ProfitWell”. Patrick Campbell joined SaaStr for a terrific update from his prior data and report from 2020.
