The toughest one for me is when folks want to scale back the goals to ones that are easy to achieve.
This is common for B+ players, or even sometimes A+ players when they are put in an uncomfortable or new environment.
They want to set goals they have between 90%-100% chance of hitting. And reset any goals that look too hard.
This mentality holds you back as an entrepreneur. You don’t want to set impossible goals. But you are doing the unlikely as a founder. You have to try to drag the team to a goal that is achievable, but also is far in excess of where inertia alone will take you.
Try to ease out the folks that want to redefine every goal to one that is easily achievable.
