Ask yourself how you will truly get into the best deals.

This is > 50% of the job.
- Picking is part of it. But you have to get into the best deals first.
- Helping is part of it. But helping may not even matter much … if you get into the best deals.
- Being picked is part of it. But you need to be picked by the best founders and best startups.
Venture is brutally competitive. Why will top founders pick you? And how will you find them?
Figure that out — for real. Actually go find 1 or 2 great deals, for real. And then if you want to break into venture, share those 1-2 deals with 2-3 VCs you look up. Write them the world’s best cold email. If the deals are great and the email is great, I bet you get a response.
