The Unicorns 🦄

Though our second day of the event is focused on mythical creatures of all kinds, you’ll find that there are unicorns hiding in our agenda every day this year. Here is a glimpse at just a few of our standout unicorns.

So, how do you choose amongst the stable of unicorns? Well, we did the heavy lifting and highlighted a few here for you…

Howie Lu, Airtable Co-Founder and CEO

Howie Liu Airtable

Airtable officially crossed the unicorn valuation threshold in 2018 after raising an additional $100M in new funding led by Thrive Capital, Benchmark and Coatue Management. (not to mention some high profile investors like Alexa Von Tobel, Emily Weiss and Delphine Arnault). If you’re not familiar with the company’s spreadsheet-database hybrid, this is your chance to check it out first hand.

Erica Brescia, Github COO

Erica Brescia Github

Its been called the “Facebook for developers” so it’s no surprise that this particular unicorn has our ears perked for insights on how it helped other startups grow along the way. Github was founded in 2008. Since then the company has grown to millions of registered users and counts companies like American Airlines, Zendesk, Groupon, Nasa, Leap Motion and MGM amongst its customers. Erica is the former COO and co-founder of Bitnami. She led the helm from 2011 until it was sold to VMware in May of 2019. Hear and learn from her experiences first hand.
