Why did Jason M. Lemkin write that he doesn’t have hobbies?

I used to have hobbies before I was a founder CEO.

After starting 2 companies from the ground-up, over 8 years, it was just too intense. Golf, tennis, Hearts, whatever just didn’t cut it. I didn’t want to invest limited time there when all of my focus had to be on getting us to the next level + family. Or put differently, they no longer helped me decompress / relax. Vacation still did though, and I’ve learned vacations are super important for CEOs/founders.

I do have hobbies now, but after that intensity, those hobbies are having fun helping other founders scale. That’s more rewarding than wine or paddleboarding to me.
