What is the single, most effective piece of financial advice you've ever received?

JASON LEMKIN

Treat the team incredibly fairly.  Go heavy on options.  Lean in heavy on the best hires.  Do refresh grants.  Raise a round if you need it — don’t sweat dilution, or the exact price per share.  Pick the right VC partners, not just the most money, etc.  5% of something big is much, much better than 25% of nothing.

But

Every share does count.
