Get In Early (GIE) #006: Gorgias

In the early days of SaaStr, we did a “Get In Early” series where you could take a look at the actual metrics, and an actual video, of a break-out SaaS company between $1m and $10m ARR that you probably hadn’t heard of yet.  One that hadn’t yet raised a mega-round, but that was growing at double-digit a month rates.

We’re going to try to kick it off again, here with Gorgias.io.  Since this one I happen to have also invested in, I know the metrics below are accurate — top decile growth, great founders, happy customers, and not yet discovered:

    • Size: 1m+ ARR.
    • Growth: 16%+ for the last 6 months.
    • What it does: Gorgias enables e-commerce merchants to manage all their customer support – Facebook, emails, chat – in a unified platform integrated with Shopify. 150 and counting 5-star reviews.
    • Money: $3.3m led by SaaStr Fund, CRV and Amplify
    • Deal Size: $2k+ ACV (50% close rate, takes 7 days to close).
    • Logos: Timbuk2, Adoreme, Frichti, Thrive Causemetics, Maverick by Logan Paul, Sunski
    • Location: SF
    • Out / In-bound: 50% outbound, 50% inbound (Shopify app store, SDR, agencies)
    • Profile Buyer: Customer support manager / Director of e-commerce

  • Hiring in Marketing: Head of growth
