How much MRR should a B2B SaaS startup (charging $50 per client per month) target in the 1st and 2nd year?
Try to get to $1m in ARR by the end of the second year.
Faster is better, of course.
But if you can get to $1m by then, it all works out:
- You can raise more money then, if you want.
- You’ll be able to hold the initial team together.
- You can get to $10m in 5 years or less — before you burn out.
You’ll be on track.
You need to get to $1m in 24 months or less. But if you can’t … just refine Day 1. It’s OK. Day 1 doesn’t have to be the day you started.
