If it’s an employee you want to keep — then use it as a flag.
A flag that you need to do a better job retaining the troops.
Nothing’s more important than the talent on your team. You should always be watching for signs that any of your best people might be leaving. Sick too often. Odd phone calls. Complaints on Facebook, subtweets on Twitter. Slumped shoulders. Even, just leaving work a smidge earlier than usual.
You can take this personally, or, you can take action.
I’ve learned you can save mosts great employees from leaving, if you take action early enough.
Go talk to her. Ask if she isn’t happy. Ask what it will take to keep her.
You probably can keep her.
If you act early enough. If you act once you see a sign, a flag.
