What are the most significant concrete pain points that fully or partially remote software engineering teams face?
The #1 issue in my experiences tends to be the wrong management DNA.
Even with Slack, Zoom, Trello, and 10,000 other tools … it’s harder to manage people remotely. Add crazy differences in time zones, and it gets even harder.
In my experience, it all works well if the managers (the VP of Eng, etc) have managed distributed teams before. Then they understand the challenges and issues.
If they haven’t … it’s super risky.
