In SaaS, I’m going to give you the most boring and seemingly obvious answer in the world.  Except it isn’t that obvious.

Mobile.

Really, even in 2016, we’re still trying to figure Mobile out in SaaS, at least from a revenue perspective.  Only a trivial amount of SaaS revenue is directly generated by mobile services.  Of course, all SaaS apps have a mobile component.  But the revenue is almost always tied to a core back-end, desktop, or API paradigm.

I can’t even really see where this is all going.  B2B tends to lag B2C by 3-4 years.

Facebook just had a blow-out quarter based all on mobile ads.  When it IPO’d, it was still a desktop story.

We are just starting to get there in B2B/SaaS.
